Alameda parks make life better for everyone. There are twenty-three parks on our island. All are well maintained, though the cost for this high, they still are carefully cleaned and improved on an on-going basis. The Alameda Friends of the Parks Foundation contributes to various projects and programs to make sure they continue to add value. We also manage two major community events. “Play for the Parks Golf Tournament, Auction and Dinner each October and the “Bike for the Parks” Community Bike Ride around Alameda island in October as well. http://www.eastbaytimes.com/2014/08/27/my-word-foundations-golf-tourney-a-great-way-to-support-alamedas-parks/
